Floral & Gift Retail Associate

The Gift and Flower Retail Associate provides outstanding customer service by helping customers select floral arrangements, gifts, and decor. This role requires strong interpersonal skills, an eye for design, and a passion for creating memorable gift experiences. The associate will be responsible for sales, stocking, arranging flowers, and maintaining a clean, inviting store environment. Weekend availability is required.

Key Responsibilities:

• Customer Service: Greet customers warmly, assist them in selecting floral arrangements, gifts, and decorations, and answer questions about products and services.
• Sales and Checkout: Handle point-of-sale transactions, upsell items, and suggest complementary products. Process orders accurately for in-store and delivery purchases.
• Product Presentation: Arrange flowers and display gift items creatively to ensure the retail display is visually appealing. Replenish stock as needed.
• Floral Arranging: Help create floral arrangements, bouquets, and gift baskets that meet store standards. Offer personalization options to customers when requested.
• Inventory Management: Track and organize inventory, restock supplies, and report low inventory to the manager.
• Store Maintenance: Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting store appearance. Ensure flowers are fresh and remove any items that are wilting or damaged.
• Marketing Support: Assist with promotions, holiday displays, and events. Share information about seasonal specials and new products.
• Deliveries and Coordination: Coordinate with delivery staff or assist in organizing deliveries to ensure timely arrival and presentation quality.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Retail or customer service experience (experience with flowers or gifts is a plus)
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Basic floral arrangement or design skills (preferred)
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift items to 20 lbs
• Attention to detail and a creative eye for display and arrangements
• Availability to work weekends and holidays
